Detroit PAL and North Star Reach have been chosen by the class to be this year's grant recipients!
Detroit PAL

Detroit PAL is a non-profit organization positively impacting the lives of more than 12,000 children each year. Detroit PAL works to create safe and supportive places for kids to play. In partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers, Detroit PAL builds character in young people through athletic, academic and leadership development programs. The impact from Foundation 313 will be seen through the support of the Diamond Sports Program, which serves over 1,400 kids annually through baseball, softball, T-Ball, and Coach Pitch leagues.

North Star Reach
North Star Reach is a non-profit organization located in Pinckney, MI. North Star Reach provides children with chronic illness and life-threatening health challenges a chance to attend camp, free of charge. This 105 acre camp can accommodate approximately 1,500 children and family members each year. The benefits from the Foundation 313 grant will be used to purchase adaptive sport and game equipment, as well as the construction of a shed to store this equipment. This contribution will impact 1,000 kids this summer and 1,500+ every summer thereafter.
This past semester has provided an engaged learning opportunity for the students of Foundation 313 that was made possible with the support of the Learning By Giving Foundation.
